What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember certain information about your visit and help us understand how the site is used.
In addition to cookies, we use similar technologies (such as the dataLayer, marketing pixels and browser local storage) within the tools described below.
How we use cookies
On the IT Engine website we use cookies for analytics and for marketing. Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the site, while marketing tools let us measure the results of our ad campaigns and show relevant ads. We set all of these cookies only with your prior consent.
Analytics consists of Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, marketing of Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. We load all of them through Google Tag Manager. We use them to measure, for example: page views, successful contact form submissions, job applications, and clicks on the phone, email, Calendly, LinkedIn and social links.
Besides statistics, Microsoft Clarity also records anonymised session replays and click maps. Form input and sensitive content are masked, so Clarity cannot see what you type.
Which cookies we use
The table lists the cookies we set, grouped by category. Analytics and marketing cookies are set only after your consent; the necessary cookie stores that choice itself.

Third-party cookies and services
For analytics, marketing and certain features we rely on external services that set their own cookies:
Google (Analytics 4 / Tag Manager) — Website usage analytics and loading of the other tools.
Microsoft Clarity — Session replays and heatmaps, with masked input, used to improve the site.
Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — Meta Pixel — measurement and optimisation of ad campaigns.
LinkedIn — LinkedIn Insight Tag — conversion measurement and ad targeting.
Calendly — Meeting scheduling — sets cookies only once you open a Calendly link.
Social networks — When you click links to our profiles.
These providers may process and transfer data outside Serbia and the European Union in line with their own privacy policies. We have no direct control over third-party cookies.
Managing cookies
On your first visit you choose which cookie categories you accept — analytics and marketing can be accepted or rejected separately. If you reject them, we do not load Google Tag Manager at all, so Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel and the LinkedIn Insight Tag never run.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and others). Blocking these cookies does not affect the core functionality of the site, as we do not use them for login or essential features.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the site or to regulations. Any changes will be published on this page along with an updated date.
